For this job our client requested squared off holes and didn't want stitch drilling and nibs trimming back.
The thickness of the screed and slab was close to 300mm and the ring saw wouldn't cut to that depth.
Therefore we recommended the chain sawing option. Following the cut out of the insulation a pilot hole was drilled through the slab to determine the proposed hole location, an acrow prop and catchment tray was then erected below.
The perimeter of the opening was then carried out to form the required 300mm x 200mm opening through the concrete screed and hollow core floor plank roof slab.
